The Cockpit USA 21st Century A-2 in Black is the current-specification A-2 built by an authorized US Department of Defense contractor — 2.75 oz (1.1mm) chrome-tanned goatskin in black, with an updated fit that adds room through the chest for true-to-size ordering. The same construction improvements as the brown USAF version: hidden side-entry pockets along the patch pocket seams, twin interior chest pockets, double pen pocket, and vented underarm gussets.

One-piece back panel. Snap-down collar. Brass front zipper with storm flap. Box-stitched epaulets. Knit flared cuffs and waistband. Made in the USA.
