More about this glove

Legendary USA’s flagship Short Wrist Touchscreen Deerskin Gloves combine classic American glove-making with bold, high-contrast flame colorways. Available in combinations ranging from traditional Black, White, Red, and Rust to Neon Blue and Neon Pink, each pair is cut and stitched to create a distinctive two-tone flame design.

Made from 100% full-grain American Whitetail deerskin, these gloves are exceptionally soft, lightweight, and durable. The natural fiber structure of deerskin provides excellent strength without the bulk of heavier leathers, while remaining comfortable across changing temperatures. As you wear them, the leather gradually molds to your hands and grip, developing a broken-in fit unique to the rider.

Every pair is hand-cut and stitched in the USA using American & Efird (A&E) industrial-grade thread manufactured in the USA. Touchscreen-compatible thumb and index fingers let you operate your phone or GPS without removing your gloves, while the traditional keystone thumb provides natural mobility and comfort around the controls.

The short-wrist design keeps bulk to a minimum and works especially well under or over motorcycle jacket cuffs. An elasticized wrist helps secure the glove without straps, snaps, or unnecessary hardware.

Available colorways include Black / Black Flame, White / Black Flame, Black / Red Flame, Red / Black Flame, Black / Rust Flame, Rust / Black Flame, Neon Blue / Black Flame, Black / Neon Blue Flame, Black / Neon Pink Flame, Neon Pink / Black Flame, Neon Pink / Neon Blue Flame, and Neon Blue / Neon Pink Flame.

What happens if they get soaked?

Ride on. Air-dry at room temperature — the leather dries soft, not stiff, and keeps its shape. Never machine-dry, never dry on a heater.

One of the Sharpest Pairs I Have Owned

Rode my Road Glide for 22 years. Seen a lot of gloves come and go. These red Spitfires with the black flame overlay are one of the sharpest things I've put on my hands. The American deerskin is serious leather — not that thin imported stuff. Breaks in fast, doesn't stiffen up in the cold. Touchscreen tips work on my phone even with light gloves on. Bought these after a buddy showed me his pair at a meet. Not the last pair I'll buy from Legendary.

White Deerskin Done Right

The white deerskin on these is beautiful but the palm area took a couple rides to really soften to my hand shape. Once broken in they feel like a second skin. The touchscreen capability works well and the short wrist is my preferred style. Good construction throughout and Made in USA.

The Pair I Had Been Looking For

I've been riding for about 12 years and I'm not normally a neon person, but my daughter talked me into trying these and honestly I get it now. The neon pink body with the blue flame overlay looks wild in person — way better than any photo shows. More importantly the deerskin is soft and broken in fast, and the touchscreen fingers work on my phone without pulling the gloves off. Short wrist fit is solid under my jacket cuffs. Ordered a medium and sizing was spot on.

Distinctive Without Going Overboard

My daughter (18, rides a 250cc) pre-ordered these. When they arrived I tried them on for size comparison and didn't want to give them back. We ended up ordering a second pair for me. The neon pink with black flame design is striking and the deerskin construction is legitimate.

Made in America and It Shows

I've become increasingly selective about buying American-made gear. The Spitfire neon blue neon pink gloves pass every test — domestic deerskin, American production, clean construction. The color combination is a statement about confidence, not just aesthetics. I've been very happy with these.

Excellent Construction and a Great Fall Color

Rust and black just makes sense for fall riding. I bought these in September and they've been on every autumn ride since. The deerskin holds up in cooler temps and the touchscreen lets me manage my navigation without pulling over.

American Made and Worth It

I specifically search for American-made riding gear and these checked every box. The deerskin is sourced domestically and the construction is done here. The neon pink flame design on the black base is a bonus — I bought these for the quality, the design is just what makes them uniquely mine.

A Different Colorway That Ages Well

Most glove options are black, brown, or red. This rust colorway is different — it's got that worn vintage tone that actually looks better with age. I've put about 300 miles on them so far and the deerskin is already starting to take on a little character. Short wrist is my style and these fit under my jacket exactly right. Touchscreen capability is there when I need it.

A Classic Look Done Properly

I have four pairs of riding gloves for different conditions. The Spitfire red flames get pulled out most often. The deerskin is the right weight for warm weather, the short wrist profile is versatile, and the design is classic enough to never look dated. About 1,500 miles on them so far.

The Blue Is Better in Person

Pre-ordered these and tracked the shipment obsessively. They arrived in good shape and the neon blue flame on black is more vibrant in person than in photos. The deerskin quality matches what I expected from Legendary USA.

A Solid Everyday Glove

I ordered the all-black Spitfire because I wanted something versatile enough to wear daily without looking like I'm trying too hard. The deerskin quality is real — not that processed stuff that feels like plastic after a few washes. These break in quickly and feel better with every ride.

My blue and black sport bike found its gloves

I've been specifically looking for gear that coordinates with my bike color scheme. The black base with neon blue flames on these matches my setup almost exactly. Beyond the aesthetics, the short wrist fit is clean and the deerskin molds to your grip over the first few rides.

Three months in, zero complaints

Bought these back in the spring and have been riding with them every weekend since. The neon blue hasn't faded, the stitching is holding up, and the deerskin has broken in to that perfect worn-in feel. This is what I hoped they'd be.

Touchscreen worked first try

Tested the touchscreen capability immediately when I got them. It works reliably on my smartphone — better than I expected from leather fingertips. That's a practical feature I'll actually use, not just a marketing claim. The leather did feel a little stiff at first but loosened up nicely over the first couple of rides.

Stood out at the bike rally

Wore these to a rally over the long weekend and they generated more conversation than anything else I had on. People had questions about where I found deerskin gloves with this kind of design. The neon blue flames are eye-catching and the Made in USA backstory adds to it.

Lightweight feel, real protection

Made in the USA from domestic deerskin — these are half the weight of cowhide alternatives at similar protection levels. On hot summer rides that weight difference matters. My hands don't fatigue the way they did with my old gloves.

Black base with neon blue flames — exactly what I wanted

The color combo on these is genuinely striking. The neon blue against the black base is bold without being tacky. My whole bike setup is black and blue so these were the obvious choice.

These are attention grabbers at the pump

Tested the touchscreen capability immediately when I got them. It works reliably on my smartphone — better than I expected from leather fingertips. That's a practical feature I'll actually use, not just a marketing claim. The one thing I'd note is the gloves felt a touch stiff on the first few wearings, but they softened up after a couple of rides.

Deerskin quality is legit

I've bought gloves from other brands at this price point and they don't compare to American deerskin. The Spitfire base material is notably lighter and more pliable than anything else I've tried. The neon blue flame design is just the icing — the construction is what sold me.

Neon blue flames pop in daylight and at night

The neon blue overlay is vivid in direct sunlight and still visible under parking lot lights at night. Makes the gloves easy to spot and adds to the look. The American deerskin underneath is the real feature though — light, pliable, breaks in fast.

My everyday pair now

I bought the black Spitfires because I wanted a clean glove without a bunch of extra stuff on it. They broke in fast and after a week or so felt like they had already been shaped to my hands for months. They’re light, comfortable, and the short wrist works perfectly with my jacket. Touchscreen is actually useful too. These have become the pair I grab without thinking about it.
