The Cockpit USA Modified G-1 is the updated-construction version of the mil-spec USN G-1 — seal-brown military-spec goatskin with a snap-removable genuine mouton fur collar, a two-way pocket system, and “USN” perforated on the front wind flap. The modifications address the practical limitations of a strict mil-spec G-1: a removable collar for warmer conditions, hidden side-entry handwarmer pockets alongside the traditional button-flap pockets, and a full leather under-collar with snap-down tabs.
