BECK® 588
Horsehide Motorcycle Vest — Denim Silhouette
$365.00
Built from 1.4–1.6mm front quarter horsehide — the heaviest hide in the BECK® vest line — the 588 takes the classic denim-vest silhouette and cuts it in leather that lasts decades. Side lacing dials the fit to you.
Construction & Materials
The BECK® 588 is the denim-silhouette version of the BECK® horsehide vest — side lacing and multi-panel stitching in 1.4–1.6mm front quarter horsehide, the heaviest leather weight in the BECK® vest lineup. The denim-style proportions in horsehide provide rain resistance and abrasion resistance that denim at any weight cannot match.
1.4–1.6mm front quarter horsehide is heavier than the 566 or 882 — stiffer on first wear, longer break-in, greater protection and longevity over the life of the vest. Two zippered leather-lined front pockets. Two internal leather-lined pistol pockets, approximately 9 inches deep. Double-stitched seams throughout. Double-sided interfacing for structure. Poly twill liner. Perma Core thread by American & Efird (A&E). Lifetime Guarantee from Legendary USA. Made in the USA.

The laces adjust the torso roughly an inch either way — out over layers, in over a t-shirt.

Questions
Before you ride.
How long does the 588 take to break in?
Longer than the 566 — this is 1.4–1.6mm hide, the heaviest in the line. It starts stiff and gives gradually with riding. That density is the point.
How does the side lacing work?
The laces adjust the torso roughly an inch either way — let them out over layers in fall, take them in over a t-shirt in summer.
Can I put patches on it?
The 588's back is multi-panel in the denim-vest tradition — patches work, but seams cross the canvas. Check the back-panel photos or ask us before your stitcher starts.
Should I size up to wear it over a hoodie?
No — order by your actual chest measurement. The cut already allows for a flannel or hoodie. Riding heavy layers on a bagger all winter? Take one up.
What's the shipping and return policy?
