The Legendary Deerskin Classic is the traditional-cuff version of the Legendary glove line — 100% American Whitetail deerskin with a 1.5-inch elasticized wrist cuff that provides more wrist coverage than the standard short wrist profile. The longer cuff sits higher on the wrist, blocking more wind at the sleeve gap on highway rides.

American Whitetail deerskin weighs roughly half of cowhide at equivalent protection. It stays pliable in wet conditions without conditioning and molds to your grip over the first few rides. American & Efird (A&E) industrial-grade thread throughout. Touchscreen-capable thumb and index finger. Keystone thumb design. Unlined for direct feel. Hand-cut and stitched in the USA. Featured in The Wall Street Journal Fashion Magazine.

Finally no gap at the wrist

The 1.5 inch cuff covers the spot where my jacket sleeve always rode up. Deerskin is soft and they fit right from the first ride.

Longer cuff keeps the draft out

Switched from a short wrist pair and the 1.5 inch cuff makes a real difference at highway speed. Deerskin is soft and the keystone thumb feels natural on the bar.

Wind stays out of my sleeves

Bought the Classic after years of short wrist gloves because I kept getting cold air up my jacket sleeve on the highway. The 1.5 inch elasticized cuff sits higher on the wrist and that gap is pretty much gone now. Deerskin was a little snug across the knuckles for the first couple rides, then it molded to my hand. It's unlined, so I can feel the controls well. The thumb and index fingertips work on my phone at gas stops without pulling the gloves off. Only reason it's not five stars is the break-in, but I'd buy them again.

The Gloves Our Group Keeps Buying

Started with one pair, then three guys in my group saw them at a ride and ordered their own. Now most of us are wearing the Legendary Classic Touchscreen. The quality is what actually spread the word. Good deerskin, proper classic length, American made.

Bought after my store brand gloves blew a seam

My previous gloves lasted one season before a seam blew out. These Legendary classics are a completely different class. The deerskin is thick and well-stitched. The classic length cuff has no loose threads or uneven joins. Eight months in and they look like they'll outlast me.

These travel well on loaded touring bikes

Wind protection at speed is a practical concern when you're loaded up on a touring bike. The classic length cuff on these sits right and keeps the wind from finding the sleeve gap. Touchscreen capability is a real convenience on long days. Deerskin quality is first rate.

Good for older hands that feel the cold more easily

I'm 71 and my hands get cold faster than they used to. The classic length cuff on these helps keep warmth in and the deerskin is soft enough that I don't have any trouble with flexibility or grip. Touchscreen is useful since I wear glasses and don't want to dig for reading glasses to work my phone.

A no-frills classic. The touchscreen

A no-frills classic. The touchscreen fingers work at gas stops.

Thanks for the honest feedback. Nice to hear the touchscreen is working out for you.

Reinforced stitching you can see and trust

The stitching on the Classic Touchscreen is reinforced at all the stress points — that means something to a rider who's seen seams fail on cheaper gloves. The deerskin is well selected and the classic length gives you that full wrist coverage. Touchscreen saves me from fumbling with bare hands at toll stations.

A serious tourer's glove through multiple seasons

I do multi-day trips most months and comfort is everything. These classic length deerskins have been on three tours now — across the desert southwest, up the coast, and through the Blue Ridge. They've been comfortable in 95 degree heat and 45 degree mornings. The deerskin breathes well and the longer cuff handles the temperature range. My go-to touring glove.

Classic cut took a little getting used to but I'm glad I made the switch

I've worn short wrist gloves for twenty years so the classic length felt unusual at first. It took a couple rides to get comfortable with how they sit on my wrist. After that adjustment the benefits are real — better wind protection on highway speeds and the deerskin quality is excellent. Touchscreen works well.

Switched to classic length after years on short wrist

My hands were always getting cold on the freeway with short wrist gloves. A buddy suggested classic length. The Legendary Classic Touchscreen is the right product — the longer cuff blocks the wind gap at your sleeve end and the deerskin is the softest American leather I've worn. Touchscreen capability is handy for quick GPS checks. Fit is snug at first and loosens nicely over the first week.

Clean traditional look with quality leather

No gimmicks, no patterns. Just classic length deerskin with a proper fit. The reinforced stitching is visible and adds to the look. Timeless glove.

Classic length is the right call for highway riding

I used to ride short wrist and switched to classic length when I started doing more freeway miles. The longer cuff keeps wind from getting into your jacket sleeve and the deerskin on these is exactly right — soft enough to be comfortable for hours, structured enough to feel like real protective gear. Touchscreen works fine. Good everyday gloves for long distance riders.

Exactly what I wanted

These are a great no-frills riding glove. True to size, comfortable right away, and the stitching looks clean with no loose threads. Exactly what I wanted for everyday riding.

Means a lot, thank you. If the fit isn't quite right, we'll gladly sort it out with you.

Fingertips a bit long

Comfortable and well made. The fingertips were just slightly long for me. And this is exactly why I only wear Legendary.

Cheers for the review. Exactly what we hope for from a daily pair.

Love Legendary Gloves

Extra protection without a bulky glove

I wanted more protection than plain deerskin but didn’t want one of those heavy armored gloves that kills all your feel. These hit a good middle ground. The aramid lining adds a little structure at first but after a few rides you barely notice it. I can still feel the throttle and brake clearly, touchscreen works, and I like having the added abrasion protection for commuting and longer trips.

well made + touchscreen

I usually go with Churchill but i like the touchscreen feature really well made pair of gloves. Been riding for 22 years and these gloves are equally good compared to Churchill and bonus having the touchscreen functionailty.
