Same Super Premium cowhide as the Outlaw but without the stand up collar, so I get more neck freedom under my helmet. One piece back panel looks clean. Pistola tethered gun pockets are a nice feature. A little stiff at first but it is settling in. It's the right vest if you don't like a collar.

I am writing this review to warn other customers about the extreme shipping delays and lack of follow-through from Legendary Leather. They received my return item for processing nearly a month ago on July 8th, and their system marked the return completed on July 12th. On July 20th, I received a shipping notification with a tracking number.

Since then, it has been a cycle of empty promises:
July 24th: I reached out because the tracking wasn't updating. Customer service claimed the owner was notified, would drop off the package, and tracking would start that day. It didn't.

July 31st: I followed up again. They replied stating, "The owner is currently looking into it. We will resolve it today. I apologize for the delay. "

Today is August 3rd, and the USPS tracking page still shows the post office is waiting for the package. They never mailed it. Out of frustration, I have been forced to demand a full refund for both my order and the return shipping costs I paid out of pocket. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.

Review is for customer service. I have not received my vest. I received notification on July 20 that it was shipping. As of July 31 USPS tracking says they have not received the package to provide a delivery date. I have had numerous emails with customer service saying the owner is looking into it. I was told a week ago that the package would be dropped off for shipping. . . . i was told again today that it would be dropped off today. I'll update my review once this is resolved.

Thing arrived looking like it's been on the road for ten years. That's the whole point. The distressed cowhide gives it a character most vests take years to develop on their own.

I ride with a small independent club and we don't do flashy new-looking gear. The Neckless Outlaw fit right into the aesthetic from day one. The aged cowhide has natural dark spots, lighter areas, and a texture that you'd expect from something that's been through actual road miles. There's no collar to restrict your neck on the highway, which I appreciate more the older I get. The premium nylon liner sits clean and doesn't bunch or fold when you put it on. I've been wearing it for three months now and the leather has continued to soften in all the right places — the aged look deepening where it creases at the arms. Bought this thinking it might be a novelty but it's become my main vest.

I wasn't sure about the neckless cut when I ordered this — I've worn collared vests my whole riding life. But the open neck is genuinely comfortable, especially on long highway days where a stand-up collar can start to rub. The aged leather looks like something a road veteran has been wearing for twenty years, and it only gets better. One-piece back panel is clean and flat — perfect for a full set. The distressing isn't fake-looking either, it's more like a natural patina with variation across the hide. Leather armhole bindings are smooth and don't chafe at the underarm. This vest has a personality that new leather just doesn't have.

I asked for extra distressed using the tumbler service they offer, and Legendary was happy to accept my request. Great customer service, best to email them for best service and quick response time.

superior quality, this is my second outlaw vest. Love the fit and solid cowhide. I would recommend to anyone seriously considering a high quality vest.

I used to own the Outlaw distressed leather with the collar, but I am really liking this one because 1. it's distressed 2. no collar. really a high quality cut and worth the money. this is what biking is about. God Bless America

Bought my second vest ever first one I got on amazon and not really sure who made it, it was very cheap feeling and now after 2 years and a lot of jokes from my friends I finally bought a real vest from a reliable maker. It's shocking the difference with my new legendary vest. super high quality and absolutely love it.

Had a lot of vests over the years. First mfg etc and the quality is shocking with Legendary USA vests. Don’t even bother getting the cheap overseas made. Seriously this is the best vest I ever bought. Love the no collar.

5 Stars, the distressed look sold me along with the no collar, I have big shoulders and traps so never wear cuts with collars to avoid the rash and bunch up. I only trust legendary been wearing their cuts for 20 years. As a vet I do what i can to support American made. in sum, high quality, wouldn't settle for anything. -DYNA1

My 2nd cut with Legendary and they far exceed any one else out there. I get nothing for writing this, just giving you facts. These are real cuts the way the motorcycle culture should be not some pakistn garbage. So happy they took the collar off the outlaw cut. I can't have a collar in my club so was really pumped to see this new cut.
