Bought this vest last spring for a cross-country run from Ohio to the Pacific coast. I wore it every day for six weeks straight — heat, rain, cold mornings through the Rockies. The horsehide held up through all of it without cracking or fading. By week two it had already started developing that broken-in feel where the leather moves with you instead of against you. The concealed carry setup is secure; I carry a compact every day and I've never once worried about it shifting. Back panel is one solid piece with no seams crossing the center — great for patch display. BECK built this thing to go the distance and it's delivering on that. Two seasons on and there's no sign of wear that isn't adding character.

Picked this up after months of research. The 501 trucker cut sits just right — not too long, not riding up. That front quarter horsehide is dense and stiff out of the box but it's already starting to break in after a few hundred miles. YKK zippers glide smooth and the concealed carry pockets are positioned exactly where you'd want them. BECK's been doing this since 1928 and you can feel it.

Every bike event I go to so many people come up asking what kind of leather I am wearing, it's definitely a step above even the better leather vest makers out there.

I've owned cowhide vests for years but nothing compares to front quarter horsehide. This thing is stiff and substantial right out of the box — took a good 300 miles before it stopped fighting me. Once it broke in it conformed to my torso in a way cheaper leather just won't. The trucker collar frames up nicely, the back panel is clean and patch-ready, and the YKK hardware hasn't snagged once. Four stars because that break-in period is real, but once it's done you've got something that'll outlast everything else in your wardrobe.

Reviews are accurate, such a great vest, nothing else like it out there. Also the vest sizing right was simple with their help; they matched it to my chest measurement and it fit right away.

Softer right out of the box than I expected from horsehide. The chestnut is beautiful because it changes depending on the light. Indoors it looks like a deep brown and outside you see much more warmth in it. I own a Perfecto too, and this jacket absolutely belongs in the same conversation. Considering what I paid for it, I’m extremely impressed.

everything about this vest is great, but I received a ripped open box that looked like someone stomped on it. I contacted Legendary USA and they said that it was not sent out like that and they cannot control what happens during shipping. I want to know why it's not their responsibility???? The vest was not damaged but still, I think customer service could have at least given me a little bit more than that.

Orginially bought the dark brown one but had second thoughtt hat I want the black instead. No hassle exchange, just took about 2 weeks because they had to make it in my size. All good arrived finally and I truly thank you for making it easy I will wear this everywhere. thanks for all those stickers Ill slap them in cool spots

got a custom size in this full disclosure I'm about a 6XL-7XL and took about 3 weeks to get, Legendary called a few times to discuss my measurements, but at the end I got a really great vest and I am very happy with the quality and fit.

I want to personally say that this is such a well made and classy vest. So happy that I discovered Legendary USA, and I will say that the reviews are very accurate which gave great comfort in my decision. Been a long time customer and supporter of Legendary, got to know many people working there over the years. Classy operation and they put every effort into accomodating respectful customers like myself. The last of their kind, they are awesome. So the BECK trucker vest is a genius idea and I truly fell in love with it when I saw they launched it. One thing I like is the length of the vest, it's built just like the BECK trucker jacket and sits neatly along my waist not too long like most vests.

I was considering doing a custom liner, but I've had problems with adding flannels or other material that doesn't repel water and then becomes damp and then it's tough to dry etc. Anyone thinking of getting the trucker vest, I would say just do it man, you'll be thrilled with the purchase. Looks great and is definitely a head turner. My wife even says, I've never looked better in a vest than with the new trucker I got. I really don't like when everyone gives 5 star reviews. So I thought that a 4 star is great and shows my happiness. I am really impressed with the quality of the leather, cutting and stitching. Hardware wish it was the original Talon #10 zipper, but regardless, YKK is still excellent as well. The interior is perfect, gun pockets ultra functional. Looking forward to watching more of the BECk emerge. Also, great price for horsehide and the iconic BECK brand. MATTLOCK

i'll keep it short as i dont really write many reviews. I have an old beck vest i got from them not sure the model or if they even still make it. I love it but wanted something a little less western looking (no side braids) and more upper torso coverage. I saw this online and went to their shop in NJ (im in PA), drove 3 hours and walked out with this beauty. super comfortable and it's already breaking in just right. horsehide is the only way to go. Thank you Lori for helping me with this cut. I probably tried on the 48 & 50 about 10 times before I decided on the 48.
