Before you ride.

How long does horsehide take to break in?

Two to four weeks of regular wear. It starts stiff — that density is the point — then molds to your build and riding position.

Will the chestnut color change?

Yes — that's the point of brown horsehide. Crease lines lighten, shoulders deepen, and the jacket records the miles you put on it.

How do I care for it?

Sparingly. Dry cloth for dust; a neutral conditioner once or twice a year. Test inside a pocket flap first.

Can the fit be adjusted?

Within a size, yes — side buckle tabs dial the chest and waist. Between sizes with a mid-layer? Take the larger.

Brown 777 looks even better in person

Photos don't do the chestnut justice. The color has depth and you can already see the grain variation that comes with real horsehide, which I like. Nickel and brass hardware look great and the zippers run smooth.

More than just a jacket

Took a little breaking in, I used some conditioner as well, after a month it's finally warming up to me and it's fitting perfect.

That’s great to hear. Horsehide rewards patience, and after a proper break-in period many customers tell us it becomes the most comfortable jacket they own.

Worth the anticipation

First off, thank you for the sizing help, I probably would have definitely ordered the wrong size. The chestnut brown horsehide is beautiful and the jacket fits perfectly. Glad I trusted Kimberly call on the sizing.

Kimberly will be happy to hear this. Proper sizing can make all the difference with a horsehide jacket, and we’re thrilled the fit and leather color exceeded expectations.

Simple, classic, perfect

The brown reads warmer in person, and the fit through the shoulders is right for riding. I wish I could own 2 of these size 48 and a 52 because when it's freezing here I need serious layiering.

Thank you! The chestnut brown horsehide really shines in person, and we’re glad the shoulder fit works so well for riding. We understand the temptation to own more than one.

Had to have this one

It's even better in person, some of the pictures are a little blurry on the site, but this jacket is a beast, loving it.

Thank you! We appreciate the feedback about the photos as well. There’s something about heavyweight horsehide that’s difficult to fully capture online until you see it in person.

Another Winner by Legendary U. S. A.

The Beck 777 is a great looking, well made horsehide jacket. I previously purchased a cafe racer style jacket without a collar, so I felt compelled to add this one to the collection. I'm extremely happy with the jackets fit and finish and with Legendary USA. The time between ordering and recieving the jacket was extremely quick. The Jacket arrived well packaged. Thanks again Legendary USA

Incredible Jacket - Exactly as described

I wanted to take the time and let anyone considering a BECK jacket to know exactly what they are getting. Because to be very honest these are 1/2 the price of their competitors and I have to say the same quality is there without all the hype, this was my first BECK purchase and it fits insanely well. Super happy with this purchase and I will be recommending to everyone. High quality, insane price.

A well priced jacket of value.

The Beck 777 is a great jacket in a classic style, like a delivery jacket. The fit is great, 5’9”/200# with broad shoulders and size 46 is spot on. It is well made and has a good weight to it. I look forward to it being broken in fully.
This jacket competes on par with much higher priced jackets.
I recommend it.

Incredible Jacket - BECK 777

I typically do not do the whole review thing, but the BECK 777 in chestnut brown is a absolute great jacket. Priced well below a Schott NYC and the American made quality can be felt as soon as you put it on. It feels like I'm stepping back in time the way the horsehide molds to you and breaks in is incredible. thanks for the help Kimberly!

outstanding quality & fit

cant say enough great things about my BECK horsehide jacket. I have a few of them now and sort of collecting them but do also ride in them on special occassions. The craftmanship is excellent and they don't take more than 3 weeks to break in properly. Thank you Legendary for being helpful with sizing once again, you answered all my questions.

a little mix up but amazing jacket

received the wrong size, they quickly made it right. Took an extra week, but honestly the best jacket I've ever owned. The brown horsehide is eye catching. Fit is great, still needs to be broken in. 4/5 out of 5

Impressive Jacket - extremely well built - horsehide is the best

I like most about this jacket is the snap down collars, always a fan of the more non-traditional riding jackets. But this jacket is not just good for riding, it's great as an everyday leather jacket. I will give this a 5 stars.

Glad I went with the brown 777, but now I want the black one too!

Just a quick thank you to Kimberly and Lori who helped me with the sizing, it was really nice to deal with real people and not a computer. As for the jacket, I cannot say enough great things about it. My biggest question was how to size this jacket for a hoodie as I usually ride in sub 50 degree weather and I didn't want a jacket that didn't give enough room for the hoodies BUT I also didn't want a big sloppy jacket that could blow around in the wind. I ended up sizing up 1 size from 44 to 46 and turns out to be a perfect fit. My chest measures 43 belly 38. So the 46 was the perfect balance for what I desired. Once again, thank you for all your help Legendary USA! Sincerely Robby Zacharia

instant favorite - leather is one of a kind

This is what a horsehide jacket should be. The stiffness is incredible, i tested it out and it can literslly stand by itself. I am still in the break in process, been using their conditioner on it to keep it supple and nice. Really can't say a bad thing about it. The interior is exactly like any schott jacket I've owned and without sound like a BECK fan boy, the quality in this jacket is superior to any other brand out there. I've seen the BECK line ramping up and think it's awesome to be part of the regime of BECK.

Happy I Went with the "chestnut brown"

quick review: Perfectly fits - true to size, the horsehide is incredible and I do know by Horsehides have been collecting leathers my entire life. I WILL SAY THIS: ALWAYS CONDITION YOUR JACKETS. Think about a baseball glove and how you need to break it in (I AM NOT SAYING USE OIL) I am saying use some sort of leather conditioner. I do this in the break in phase, as the leather absorbs the conditioner it will accomodate to your body better and give you the precise fit over time. I hope that helps! Cheers, Frank Giatonni

Review of BECK 777

My experience thus far... so the BECK 777 Horsehide definitely is a more vintage motorcycle jacket, and one of its most notable features is the thoughtful placement of the slash/sidepockets.v Unlike many modern jackets, where pockets can seem like an afterthought, the BECK 777's slash pockets are seem to be placed and well thought out. My number issue with many jacket pockets seems to be their placement too far forward towards center of the belly, the pockets on the 777 are placed closer to the side torso, making usability perfect. It also seems to increase the length of the pocket itself, great for conceal carry, because not everyone likes to have to unzip the jacket to gain entry to their piece. I could be over thinking this aspect, but I've been riding for over 45 years and all I can say is it's very useful for bikers, as it allows you to reach into the pockets comfortably, even while riding it's easy to keep your right hand on throttle and use the left to draw from the left side pocket. One last thing about the pocket placement, the pockets sit neatly along the jacket’s front, blending into the heavy horsehide leather and although I can't say this for sure, the heavy horsehide will not print which is illegal in most stands when carrying.

Enough about the pockets! I tend to get caught up in the details that create a jackets functionality and I must say no jokes aside these pockets are excellent.

Thank you,
Jackson P. Tezner

Chestnut Brown Horsehide - Stunning Jacket

Felt like I need to thank you for building such a superb jacket. One feature I love is the subtle side tabs really helps if I am wearing a heavy sweater or hoodie under it. Ultra classy looking but also not flashy looking. I am not a hardcore biker, but me and the wife occasionally take a longer ride to restaurants and this will be a proper jacket to do that in. Can't wait to see what you will be doing in the future.

Thank you,
Chadwick

The Best Especially For The Price of a USA made horsehide moto jacket

Such a rich and great brown horsehide. What I like most is it's not a long bulky jacket at the waist so riding in it is absolutely perfect. I am 6'0 210 and I got the 44. I can tell this is going to break in perfectly. I really don't know why anyone would overpay for a schott. This jacket is certainly meant for a biker. the hardware is top notch and the stitching is perfect.
