Description

The BECK® 732 Northeaster Flying Togs Black is the traditional American motorcycle jacket in 1.3mm front quarter horsehide — BECK®'s Northeaster silhouette built since 1928, cut from the densest section of the hide with precision hand-cutting and stitching. Front quarter horsehide at 1.3mm is more wind-resistant and abrasion-resistant than cowhide at equivalent thickness; longer break-in period, decades of shape retention.

Natural scarring and grain variation are characteristics of authentic horsehide — each jacket is unique to the hide it came from. Stitched with Perma Core thread by American & Efird (A&E). Nickel-plated brass hardware. Racer snap collar. YKK zippers. Two concealed carry pistola pockets, 9 inches deep. Quilted cavity lining, nylon Oxford sleeve lining. Side buckle tabs for custom chest fit — extend for a hoodie underneath, tighten for a closer riding fit. Bi-swing back and vented underarm gussets. Made in the USA.

Before you ride.

How long does horsehide take to break in?

Two to four weeks of regular wear. It starts stiff — that density is the point — then molds to your build and riding position.

732 vs. 777 — what's the difference?

Same 1.3mm front quarter horsehide. The 732 is the traditional original; the 777 adds refined interior construction and updated hardware developed from rider feedback.

How do I care for it?

Sparingly. Dry cloth for dust; a neutral conditioner once or twice a year. Test inside a pocket flap first.

How should I size it?

Order by your actual chest measurement — the size chart is in the Size Guide. Between sizes with a mid-layer? Take the larger.

The Northeaster

The original.
Everything else descends from it.

BECK® has made horsehide riding gear in the USA since 1928. The 732 is the traditional Northeaster Flying Togs pattern — the jacket the refined 777 was developed from, in the same dense front quarter hide.

The Material

Front quarter horsehide.
The densest cut of the hide.

Horsehide is tighter-grained than cowhide at the same thickness — it stops wind the way steel stops rain. BECK® cuts only from the front quarter, where the fibers run densest.

Thick and honest out of the box; it molds to the rider over the break-in and holds that shape.

732 black fits like the chart says

Ordered my chart size after a call to the shop and it fit on the first try. The side buckle tabs let me open it up for a hoodie in the cold months. Horsehide is thick and stiff right now, which I expected.

Highly Recommend

Genuine horsehide that's stiff out of the box and molds to you over a few weeks.

That’s exactly how premium horsehide should behave. The initial stiffness is a sign of the leather’s quality, and the custom fit that develops over time is worth the break-in.

A BIG Thank You to Kimberly!

Dear Kimberly,

Thank you so much for this excellent BECK 732 jacket that arrived 3 days ago. Finally had a chance to take it out for a ride and needless to say it is everything you had described to me on the phone. I just turned 67 and this was a gift to myself. The sizing is perfect and thank you for recommending the 48 not the 46. I will be sending pictures when my son and I go for our ride this weekend. I will certainly be letting all of my buddies know where I got my horsehide jacket from. Take care and thanks again.

Cheers,
Marty

great fit love it

Heavier than expected in a good way; grain and character are the draw. At 4,000 miles it has a natural sheen with no snap failures. Used as a club vest; side laces help the fit. A 6'4" 340 lb custom arrived in 2 weeks.

Well worth saving up for it - Love it

I finally got the BECK 732 after over a year of saving up for it. When it arrived I was thoroughly blown away by the quality. I have so much respect for American Made. The horsehide was nice and tough and such a nice shine to the jacket. It's been raining here the last week, but I cannot wait to ride with it.

Perfect Fit, Excellent Quality, Bad Website Pics!

The pictures are terrible relative the jacket itself is amazing. Not only does it have that great glossy shine, but the fit and style work so well with my body. I am 6 foot, 205 and have a 43 chest I went with the 44. Again, cannot thank Legendary USA enough, highest quality products and their BECK line is now my favorite.

Couldn't be more pleased

searched all over for a horsehide motorcycle jacket like my Grandpa had remember when I was young he taught me to ride and always swore by his horsehide gear. Long story short with a little research I stumbled on Legendary USA. I only buy made in USA clothing as best I can and I fell in love with this BECK 732. Tough decision between the black and brown, but settled on the black. Fit is great, super secure feeling I get in it while I'm riding. Must say fantastic quality and construction. Tom from TN

worth the wait. . . . luv it

I am very impressed, what a great jacket. It's yet to be broken in, but I can assure the reviews are legit. I am super happy and I want to thank Kimberly for her help with sizing. My suggestion is to include different models and indicate their size.

Finally Got The Money For A New Jacket

My buddy Jack bought his jacket last May and I remember telling him how much I liked it. I finally got some money to spend on a new jacket and man I couldn't be more happy. Such a statement and the horsehide is unbeatable.

Very happy with my purchase - Full Review

Review on BECK 732
I have been eyeing this jacket for almost a year now and finally bought it. The reviews are certainly accurate, the leather is of high quality and really beautiful. I'm huge into horsehide and this is certainly high quality leather. I wish it was a little more waxy, but I did know that going into it. The pattern is classic and I am happy I went with the racer collar, as I do not like large collars or flaps. It's a sleek-looking jacket both on and off. It's been about 2 months and it's breaking in perfectly. I can't say 1 bad thing about it, it's truly a great jacket and I'm very happy with my purchase.

The reviews are accurate + customer service

Dear Legendary USA,

I received the jacket on Monday and I would like to say thank you so much for taking the time to get back to me regarding sizing. I rarely make large purchases online, because sizing is always an issue with me. Anyway, I cannot say enough great things about my BECK 732 I love what you guys are doing with the brand and I wish you much success. I will send ya'll pictures of me riding in the jacket maybe you can use them on your site!

BECK 732 Review

Just got my hands on a BECK jacket, and I have to say, this thing is the real deal. You can tell right away that it’s built to last. The horsehide is thick but breaks in perfectly the more you wear it, and the quality of the stitching and zippers is top-notch. This isn’t some mass-produced jacket—they put time and effort into making this right. Also, can't say enough great things about Legendary's service. Truly outstanding. - Blake L . Chattanooga, TN

A+ Horsehide - Fits Perfectly - Can't Beat The Price

FIrst off for a horsehide jacket made in America, you won't find one of better quality and better price. I am not a jacket snob, I wanted a horsehide jacket (great for those rain patches that pop up when you're riding) It's a tough jacket dense horsehide, still breaking it in. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a real riding jacket that is non-bulky and tough.

No doubt - five stars

No doubt, five stars. The BECK 732 (got it in black) is hands down one of the finest leather moto jackets I’ve ever owned. Few key points - thick, durable, and think it's built to last, had many other jackets throughout the years, some really bad some really great, this one is excellent. Really great natural flexibility that is breaking in beautifully high quality stitching and really like the placement of the sleeve zippers. I used the buy now, pay later with Shop Pay so was able to get it didn't have to save up for it. Wishing you much success Legendary USA.

Great Finish and Perfect Fit

I am really impressed with my BECK, and I know BECK has been around forever and my Grandfather used to actually rock one, doesn't fit me but I still have it and take it out to look at it sometimes. That's why I went with the more cafe racer style, it's very similar to his. Anyway, I am truly happy with the jacket, I did the ShopPay "Buy Now, Pay Later" and it was easy to do so I could actually get the jacket and not wait to save the money for it. You can't go wrong with the 732. God Bless, Raymond
