Nylon Flight · Summer Weight
When the flight suit
is already warm enough.
Not every mission needs insulation. The Fighter Weapons jacket is Cockpit USA's CWU-36P-style summer-weight nylon — the lightweight layer US Navy aviators wear in mild and moderate weather. Tightly woven mil-spec nylon twill over smooth satin lining, a bi-swing back for unrestricted movement, Velcro cargo pockets, the left-sleeve pen pocket, and a Velcro field for name tape. In the Navy's own color, with Sage and Black alongside. Made in the USA.

Tightly woven nylon twill — the summer shell
The Material
Twill and satin.
Nothing extra.
Tightly woven military-spec nylon twill sheds wind and wear; the smooth satin lining slides over anything. No insulation — that's the point.
Disclosed plainly: the shell is not fire-retardant. The FR version stays with the fleet.

Weight is a spec too.
A summer flight jacket earns its keep by what it leaves out. Cockpit keeps the CWU details — bi-swing, cargo pockets, name field — and skips the insulation, so it wears from spring through fall.

No — disclosed plainly by Cockpit. FR versions are military issue.
Can I personalize it?
Yes — the chest Velcro field takes name tape, exactly like active-duty gear.
