The extended cuff blocks wind at the sleeve gap — the most common point where cold air enters on highway rides — without adding the bulk or stiffness of an insulated gauntlet. Unlined for maximum flexibility despite the long cuff.

American Whitetail deerskin weighs roughly half of cowhide at equivalent protection and stays supple in cold without stiffening.
