The Cockpit USA RAF Fighter Weight Sheepskin Bomber is the lightweight RAF silhouette built for open-cockpit fighter pilots — originally designed in 1937, the same year as the standard RAF, but in a reduced sheepskin weight specifically for the tighter cockpits of Spitfires and Hurricanes where the full-weight RAF restricted movement. Short-sheared shearling provides warmth with significantly less bulk than the full RAF or B-3. The shearling develops antiqued patina with wear. Leather-welted seams. Buckle throat latch. Back collar strap beneath RAF patch. Underarm ventilation grommets. Leather waist belt. Heavy-duty zipper cuffs. Made in the USA.
