Amazing vest. The quality genuinely will shock you compared to what you typically see from non-US handmade products. I’ve spent about 500 miles with this vented vest from light rains to humid heat and it gives just the perfect amount of wind protection while still getting a breeze. If you want a product that feels like it will last a lifetime and looks sharp as ever go with this. Don’t cheap out and have to replace something in a year or so anyway. Legendary will always have my business when I’m looking for quality.

Rode through a hot weekend in this and was surprisingly comfortable. The perforations make a real difference compared to my solid leather vest. Cropped fitted cut looks good and stays put on the bike.

I went back and forth between the solid Lowlife and this perforated version for about two weeks before pulling the trigger on the perforated. I'm glad I did. The ventilation is real — not dramatic, but on a long day in the saddle in warm weather it adds up. I didn't want to give up the center pocket or the side pockets, which is why I went with this standard config over the NCP or NOP versions. Pockets are well-positioned, the hardware is solid, and the perforations are uniform across the whole vest. The 1.4mm cowhide holds structure even with the holes drilled through it — this isn't a thin summer vest, it's a full-weight leather piece that happens to breathe. The black color is consistent and the naked finish is going to develop a nice patina over time. Three months in and it's breaking in beautifully across the shoulders.

All the pockets, perforated leather, cropped fit. This is the version for riders who want ventilation without giving up any utility. The 1.4mm perforated cowhide is the same weight as the solid version and the pockets are placed right. I run this as my daily riding vest from May through September.

Didn't want to choose between ventilation and functionality so I went with the standard pocket perforated Lowlife. Good call. The leather is thick and the perforations don't weaken it noticeably. Fits clean, rides clean, looks clean.

Tried this vest on a long ride and didn’t want to take it off. It stayed in place, ventilated well, and looked damn good in photos. 10/10.
